Concerts
Its been a while since anyone has posted anything new so I thought I'd fix that (I'm not even sure if anyone still checks the blog but we'll see!). A friend of mine is in a band (The Golden Dogs) who'll be playing at Lee's Palace on June 11th with the Rheostatics and 54-40, and at The Rivoli on July 8th with the Spades. I thought I'd go to one of the concerts and wanted to know if anyone else wanted to come along. Let me know if you do and which date you'd prefer (the one at Lee's Palace is $20). Oh, and Karen, Danny Michel is at the Rivoli on June 16/17th.

i'd definitely be up for seeing danny michel... i hear he does some crazy things with looper pedals. i vote for the friday show.

Ok, do you mean the Friday show for Danny Michel or for The Spades/Golden Dogs? Or both?

I'll see both Danny Michel shows if people will let me. (I'm slightly obessed (and yes, he does some freakishly cool things with the looper pedals during his solo shows)).
As for the other show. I don't know the Golden Dogs, but Rheostatics and 54-40 would fit perfectly into my recent renewed interest in The Music of Jeremy's First Couple Years of University (see: Live, The Watchmen, The Hip, et al)

oopsie. i meant the danny michel show. i don't think i'm too hyped for a NxNE show for $20.
jeremy - i'll allow you to see both shows... but i'm only going to go to one. ;-)

Karen just reminded me that we have tickets to go to the Oasis/Jet show on the 17th which means we either ditch them or go to Danny Michel on the 16th. If the 17th is the chosen date here, neither of us is too teriibly excited to see Oasis and will probably go to DM. I'm sure she'll have more insights when she remembers her password.
